The Financial Analyst will be focused on the coordination of financial reporting & analysis as well as tools and templates to summarize, measure & evaluate business performance, plant operations & initiatives. The position will also support general closing activities for business unit and assist with financial forecasts and various productivity, inventory and ERP projects. The Financial Analyst reports to the CFO and is based in Boyertown, PA.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide management with daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reporting to measure business performance, identify trends and support corrective actions.
- Support month-end close and post-close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, inventory reporting, and plant performance/variance analysis.
- Prepare financial and operational reports for the CFO, CEO, plant management, and other company leaders.
- Assist with annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, cash-flow forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Develop reporting and analysis to support plant productivity, inventory control, cost reduction, purchasing, labor performance, scrap reduction, customer/product profitability, pricing, and commercial initiatives.
- Support manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costs, material, labor and overhead analysis, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances.
- Assist with preparation, justification, and post-investment analysis of capital expenditures.
- Monitor working-capital performance, including AR, AP, and inventory.
- Ensure financial data integrity and consistency across multiple businesses, plants, and systems.
- Develop queries, reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to extract and analyze information from ERP and other company systems.
- Assist with preparation, implementation, and rollout of a new ERP system planned for 2027.
- Assist with financial due diligence and integration of acquisitions, including implementation of accounting practices, financial and performance reporting, ERP systems, and internal controls.
- Work closely with operations, sales, purchasing, and plant management to improve financial understanding and accountability throughout the organization.
- Support the CFO with special projects and analysis as the company continues to grow.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
- 2+ years of finance, accounting, or cost-accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and manufacturing cost accounting.
- Experience using ERP systems and extracting, manipulating, and analyzing ERP data.
- Advanced Excel skills required; strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Microsoft applications.
- Experience with ERP implementation, system conversion, or acquisition integration is preferred.
- Strong analytical ability and demonstrated intellectual curiosity.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with financial and non-financial managers.
- Comfortable working in a growing, multi-location manufacturing organization.
