Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our team in Columbia, MD.

The role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data, preparing reports, models, and recommendations for leaders of a business or client projects and task leads. You will perform moderately complex analysis, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and respond to inquiries while ensuring compliance with GAAP and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 3 years accounting/financial experience; familiarity with GAAP, STAT, and federal regulations.
• In lieu of education: 4 additional years of relevant work experience.
• Healthcare insurance industry experience is strongly preferred.
• CPA eligibility is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare various accounting and financial reports and analyze data to produce financial results for business units.
• Investigate and resolve account reconciliation issues to improve controls over ledgers and balance sheet activity.
• Perform moderately to complex analysis, gather and interpret financial data, and prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
• Respond to inquiries from managers, directors, executives, auditors, and finance staff; prepare financial data for upper management presentations.
