Job summary

CPG Beyond, Inc. seeks a Data Analyst to bridge our NetSuite Data Administrative and finance teams. You will ensure data is translated, managed, and organized for timely reporting and insights, by connecting DataRails with ERP and HRIS.

Responsibilities include building dashboards, budgeting templates, and forecasting tools, while maintaining data quality and cross-system mappings to enable strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of professional work experience.
  • 2-3 years of DataRails experience; 1-2 years of analytics acceptable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling and accounting and reporting is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain integrations between NetSuite, DataRails, HRIS and other systems for timely financial data.
  • Design, build and maintain dashboards, reports and visualizations.
  • Develop budgeting templates and forecasting models to support planning.
  • Perform financial, variance and trend analyses using Excel and DataRails.
  • Document data definitions and reconciliation procedures for consistency.

Position Summary: The Data Analyst will play a critical role in operational decision making. This position bridges the gap between our NetSuite Data Administrative team, and our finance and accounting team by ensuring that data is translated, managed, and organized in a way that allows for timely financial reporting and insights.

The Data Analyst will be tasked with managing a seamless connection between our reporting platform, DataRails, and other systems of record such as our ERP and HRIS. It will involve managing the DataRails environment, which may include mapping and maintaining individual data sets and upholding the environment as new data is added, identifying ways to more efficiently map data and/or bring things into the data environment, running calculations, creating visualizations/dashboards that answer our key business questions, building and managing budgeting templates, and rolling forward forecasts.

These efforts will have a direct impact on upper-level decision making and will be instrumental in our business’s growth.

This individual will sit in our Finance department and will report to the Director/VP of Strategic Finance and Corporate Development.

  • Maintain and monitor integrations between NetSuite, DataRails, HRIS, and other systems of record to ensure accurate, timely, and complete data availability for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage and maintain the DataRails environment, including data mappings, datasets, calculations, templates, dashboards, and recurring reporting structures.
  • Perform recurring data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data integrity as new information is added and as the business evolves.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, HR, and data administration teams to understand reporting needs and translate business questions into usable data sets.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights for operational and financial decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain budgeting templates, forecasting models, and scenario planning tools to support financial planning processes.
  • Perform financial analysis, variance analysis, sensitivity analysis, and trend analysis using Excel, DataRails, and other reporting tools.
  • Create and maintain custom DataRails calculations to support reporting, forecasting, and management analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, or automate reporting processes, data mapping, and monthly reporting workflows.
  • Document data definitions, calculation logic, mapping assumptions, and recurring reporting procedures to support consistency and continuity.
  • Investigate and communicate data discrepancies, reporting issues, trends, and key findings to supervisors and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects related to financial reporting, business analytics, data management, and operational decision-making.
