Job summary

Essent Group Ltd. in Radnor, PA, is seeking a Financial Analyst I to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting within the mortgage insurance and financial services organization.

The role analyzes financial performance, develops forecasts, and provides actionable insights to drive strategic decisions. You will ensure GAAP compliance and SEC-like reporting requirements, assist in developing financial models, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 2–5+ years of financial analysis, accounting, or financial services experience, preferably within mortgage or insurance industries.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, and profitability trends to support business decisions.
• Support financial planning and forecasting processes, including scenario modeling.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal financial policies.
• Assist in developing financial models to evaluate business initiatives and investment opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide financial insights.
• Monitor KPIs and support performance management reporting.
• Assist with audit processes and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
