Job summary

Blackhawk Network is seeking a Financial Analyst I to join the Finance team in a hybrid Coppell, TX role. You will monitor financial performance, support planning and expense management, and provide insights that inform strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to develop finance skills while partnering with cross-functional teams. This role reports to the Sr. Finance Manager and targets continuous improvement in reporting and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Oracle, Power BI, or other financial reporting and analysis systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and variance reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to support business planning and decision-making.
• Support expense management by monitoring spending, analyzing variances, and identifying trends and opportunities to improve financial performance.
• Partner with budget owners and cross-functional business teams to understand spending trends, investigate variances, and support effective expense management.
• Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting and evaluate business performance.
• Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to gather data, prepare reports, and communicate financial insights to management.
• Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecast cycles to help the business achieve its financial targets.
• Utilize Oracle, Power BI, and other finance systems to analyze data and support financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting and planning processes, including the use of AI and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform ad hoc financial and operational analyses to support business needs and strategic initiatives.
