Job summary

Meritage Homes Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Dallas-Ft. Worth Division with financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting tasks. The role includes reviewing statements and forecasts, preparing variance explanations, and coordinating monthly budget meetings with multiple departments.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of finance or accounting experience, a relevant degree, and strong Excel skills. JD Edwards and SAP/Business Objects experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• 2–3 years of finance or accounting experience.
• Homebuilding industry experience is a plus but not required.
• CPA or Master’s degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support financial analysis and reporting for the DFW division.
• Review monthly financial statements, margin proformas, backlog reports, and other key indicator reports.
• Assist in the preparation and review of Quarterly Forecasts and Annual Business Plan.
• Prepare supplementary reports and analyses for management.
• Assist with budgeting/forecasting software and variance explanations.
• Coordinate monthly budget meetings with other departments.
• Perform ad hoc analyses as needed.
