Pepper Construction seeks a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Accounting team in Barrington, IL. This role supports accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis across multiple entities, partnering with finance and operations to deliver accurate insights.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in accounting/financial analysis, strong Excel skills, and a collaborative mindset. This is an on-site position with one day remote in Barrington, IL, with excellent benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA designation or active pursuit preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting, financial analysis, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports with analysis and commentary.
• Analyze and process accounting transactions and job costs with internal controls.
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accuracy.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights for decision making.
• Partner with project managers and operations to ensure cost tracking and reporting.
