Job summary

Idaho State University in Pocatello, on-campus, is seeking a Financial Analyst to assist in preparing the university’s annual audited financial statements and quarterly SBOE reports. You will coordinate with the Auditor and Finance teams, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial presentation.

The role supports cash/bank reconciliations, external audit processes, and related reporting projects while collaborating across departments to deliver timely, reliable financial information.

Qualifications

  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills and data interpretation abilities.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
  • Public-sector or higher education experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual audited financial statements.
  • Prepare quarterly SBOE Audit Committee reports and notes.
  • Coordinate external audit activities with auditors and staff.
  • Reconcile cash, bank and related accounts for accurate reporting.
  • Support IPEDs reporting and FOI responses as needed.
