Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) in Arlington, VA, seeks a Financial Analyst to provide on-site support to DARPA, learn DARPA processes, and contribute to budgeting and funding.

You will draft funding documents, present execution status, craft obligation plans, plan incremental funding, and coordinate with contracting offices. This is a hybrid role with up to 5% travel and DoD exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field with demonstrated technical acumen.
• 5+ years of experience as a financial analyst or equivalent.
• Experience tracking technical and financial milestones and performing data analysis.
• Knowledge of DoD standards and regulations; active DoD Secret clearance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft complete and responsive funding documents and present budget status.
• Develop budgets for new programs and craft obligation plans.
• Plan for incremental funding in alignment with DoD appropriations and CRs.
• Coordinate with DARPA contracting offices for awards, modifications, and funding actions.
