Job summary

Burnett Specialists is seeking a Financial Analyst / Cost Accountant for a manufacturing environment. This role provides cost analysis, variance analysis, and financial modeling to support operational decisions.

You will evaluate capital, productivity initiatives, and cost-reduction opportunities, and support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning at the site level. Candidates should have a bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 4-6 years FP&A experience, and strong Excel skills; SAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4-6 years FP&A or accounting experience in manufacturing.
• SAP experience preferred; advanced Excel required.

Financial Analyst / Cost Accountant - Excellent manufacturing company!

Responsibilities:

• Provide cost analysis, variance analysis, and financial modeling to support operational decisions
• Evaluate capital, productivity, and cost-reduction initiatives
• Analyze manufacturing performance and identify risks and opportunities against targets
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning at the site level
• Ensure accuracy of production, usage, and cost reporting
• Prepare and communicate financial insights in a clear, actionable manner
• Participate in month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA a plus)
• 4-6 years of accounting, finance, or FP&A experience within a manufacturing environment, but may consider candidates without is they have SAP
• Strong cost accounting and operational finance background
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience required (SAP preferred)
