Excess Line Association Of NY is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support the Chief Financial Officer across accounting, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting functions. This role helps maintain the organization’s financial health through accurate processing, reporting, and operational support.

Based in New York, NY, this full-time position offers hybrid onsite work and requires 2+ years of financial analysis or accounting experience, with proficiency in Excel and GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of financial analysis or accounting experience; nonprofit or association experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / Excel; strong data analysis and modeling skills.
• Understanding of GAAP and experience with accounting/payroll systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Invoice processing and preparation of vendor payments.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank, investment, and AmEx accounts.
• Process accounts receivable and support collections activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting of revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
• Assist with regulatory filings such as 1099s and Form 990 and with annual audit activities.
• Payroll, Benefits & HR support, including reviewing biweekly payroll reports for accuracy.
