Job description

My name is Ana, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Financial Analyst / Accountant for a prominent client of ours. This position is 100% Remote. Details for the position are as follows:

Contract role of 1 year, with possible extensions. Pay range is $36-42/hr.

Must be able to support EST hours, M-F 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST.

Job Description:

1. Manage the financials for a large IT Infrastructure project, reporting to project team leadership and collaborating with GDD&T Finance and Procurement.
2. Manage, track, and maintain finance and accounting information.
3. Maintain project and operational budgets.
4. Track project expenses working with project managers and technical managers.
5. Track invoices from project vendors and reconcile them to reported spending.
6. Build a line-item level project financial forecast monthly, tracking actual and planned spend against the approved project budget, updating plans in consultation with the project team.
7. Work with vendors to identify un-invoiced spending and develop accruals for month-end submission to Finance.
8. Submit and track purchasing requests through the PLAY system, from request to PO to invoice.
9. Comply with GDD&T Finance forecast and accruals standards and schedules.
10. Comply with GDD&T Procurement policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum three years of experience as a financial analyst or accountant within an IT organization.
2. Understanding of IT project budgets, including estimation, tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
3. Proficiency with financial accounting and reporting tools.
4. Experience with Apptio or similar financial management software.
