Base pay range

$76.00/hr - $82.00/hr

Summary:

We are seeking a finance professional to manage headcount (HC) for Operating Expenses (OPEX) and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) in support of our Engineering teams. This role will drive financial analysis & insights, provide recommendations, and support resource allocation while ensuring alignment with our financial Rhythm of Business (ROB), including close, forecast, and planning cycles.

Typical Day in the Role

• Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to support the C+AI finance team, specifically the engineering team. We manage the operating expenses (OpEx) and engineering headcount, which includes around 55,000 people.
• Key projects: This role will contribute to partnering with the engineering teams to manage budgets, approving purchase orders (POs), monitoring quarterly spend, and assisting in forecasting and budgeting.
• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 30% meetings and 70% will be dedicated to tasks such as pulling reports, managing budgets, and other financial analysis activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Headcount Management: Partner with across organization to analyze and optimize HC investments across OPEX and COGS.
• Financial Analysis & Insights: Conduct deep-dive analysis to drive efficiency, cost optimization, and strategic decision-making.
• Forecasting & Planning: Support financial ROB processes by executing HC forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis with accurate forecasting.
• Reporting & Clarity: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide transparency on HC trends and spending.
• Cross-Company Partnership: Collaborate with HR, Recruiting, and Finance stakeholders to ensure alignment on hiring plans and financial targets.
• Operational Excellence: Continuously improve financial processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ad hoc: Support various reporting and analysis requests as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 10 overall years of experience in the field.
• Degrees or certifications required: no degree required.
• Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain strong communication skills, Excel experience, finance knowledge, and Mercury and BPC experience.
• Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines, feedback from stakeholders.

Pay Transparency:

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $ 76.00 - $ 82.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
