Job summary

Your Talent Source is seeking a Financial Analyst for a manufacturing client. The role focuses on collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting financial and operational metrics with an eye for discrepancies and data integrity.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in manufacturing analytics, advanced Excel, and exposure to Power BI/SQL. This on-site Ohio-based position requires strong data discipline and timely daily reporting.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Financial Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical experience within a manufacturing environment required.
• Be very comfortable working extensively with data while meeting recurring daily reporting deadlines.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, complex formulas, data manipulation, and working with large data sets; Power Query experience strongly preferred.
• Experience collecting, validating, reconciling, and analyzing data from multiple sources and preparing recurring metrics, KPIs, and management reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy, including investigating discrepancies.
• Ability to manage large amounts of information accurately while meeting strict daily reporting deadlines.
• Experience with ERP systems and extracting data from business systems preferred.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL, or other data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather large amounts of data from multiple sources, ensuring its accuracy, analyzing results and trends, and preparing required daily metrics and reports.
• Collect, consolidate, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources and systems.
• Prepare and deliver required daily metrics and reports to the parent company accurately and on time.
• Validate data and investigate discrepancies, inconsistencies, and unusual results.
• Analyze large data sets to identify trends, variances, and changes in business and operational performance.
• Develop, maintain, and improve recurring reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and other departments to gather and validate information.
• Reconcile data between different reports, systems, and sources to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor manufacturing and business metrics and identify significant changes or trends.
• Improve reporting processes to increase accuracy, consistency, and efficiency; identify opportunities to automate repetitive data collection, manipulation, and reporting.
• Prepare ad hoc data analysis and reports for management as needed.
• Present data and findings in a clear, concise manner to support management decision-making.

FINANCIAL ANALYST - Manufacturing

We're looking for a Financial Analyst for our client with 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. This is a highly data-intensive position with a primary focus on collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting financial and manufacturing/operational metrics.

Should be naturally curious and willing to investigate when numbers do not appear correct rather than simply reporting them.
