Job summary

SpringPoint Technologies in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a Grant Accountant to manage all aspects of grant accounting, including pre-award and post-award activities, reporting, and compliance. You will partner with department leaders to develop operating budgets and provide training on budgeting tools.

You will evaluate budget submissions, analyze monthly performance, and present complex financial analyses to leadership.

  • Experience evaluating budgets and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of grant accounting, including pre-award and post-award activities, financial reporting, revenue and expense analysis, reconciliations, and compliance monitoring.
  • Partner with department leaders to develop and review annual operating budgets while providing guidance and training to new managers on budgeting tools and processes.
  • Evaluate budget submissions for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with organizational goals and financial assumptions.
  • Participate in budget planning discussions and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze monthly actual-to-budget performance, identify variances, and recommend opportunities for improved financial planning and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present complex financial analyses, forecasts, and reports to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Compile, interpret, and summarize financial data to support financial statement reviews and maintain accurate reporting deliverables.
  • Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to research and resolve accounting and financial reporting issues.
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with established deadlines and accounting standards.
  • Support special projects, process improvement initiatives, audits, and other finance-related activities as assigned.
  • Exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making in managing priorities, analyzing financial information, and resolving complex accounting matters.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, grant requirements, and applicable accounting regulations.
