Job summary

LogistiQ is seeking a reliable, and motivated Financial Analyst to join our team in Port Clinton, Ohio. This role analyzes past product costing and pricing to forecast future performance and to advise the company on its financial strategy.

Performs a broad range of planning and analysis, monitors actual results against plans, forecasts, and budgets, and prepares detailed reports for management. Consolidates a wide range of operating and financial projections for short- and long-term business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Two years of professional experience as an accountant or auditor preferred.
• Must have knowledge of accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience working with ERP systems (Syteline) preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

This position will analyze past product costing and pricing to predict future performance and to advise the company on its financial strategy. Performs a broad range of planning and analysis. Monitors actual results of order performance and department spend against plans, forecasts, and budgets, determines trends, and explains financial results. Prepares detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management. Consolidates a wide range of operating and financial projections for the development of short-term and long-term business plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following

• Analyzes business and financial data.
• Creates financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
• Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
• Thorough understanding of project management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (Spreadsheets).
• Working knowledge of accounting, database, and other manufacturing software preferred.
• Successful completion of 90-day probationary period

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Two years of professional experience as an accountant or auditor preferred.
• Must have knowledge of accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience working with ERP systems (Syteline) preferred.

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is pleasant, temperature controlled, professional office environment in a manufacturing setting. The employee works in an office setting but does have frequent interaction with the shop floor. On the shop floor, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed and the air temperature fluctuates with the seasonal weather.
