Responsibilities

• Develop financial models to evaluate investment opportunities using DCF, scenario and sensitivity analyses.
• Support evaluation of CRE acquisitions, investments, and developments.
• Prepare pro forma models to assess assumptions, returns, and capital structures.
• Assist due diligence by coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.
• Conduct market research and financial analysis to support decisions.
• Evaluate prospective lease transactions by cash flow, NPV, and performance.

The Financial Analyst will support financial modeling, investment analysis, lease evaluation, and portfolio management activities. This role will play an important part in evaluating investment opportunities, analyzing property performance, forecasting cash flows, and identifying opportunities to enhance asset value and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, advanced financial modeling skills, and an understanding of commercial real estate investments and financial markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, including discounted cash flow analyses, scenario modeling, sensitivity analyses, and investment return calculations.
• Support the evaluation of commercial real estate acquisitions, investments, and development projects.
• Prepare pro forma financial models to assess investment assumptions, projected returns, and potential capital structures.
• Assist with due diligence activities by coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.
• Conduct market research and financial analysis to support investment decisions and evaluate potential opportunities.

Lease Analysis & Market Research

• Evaluate prospective lease transactions by analyzing projected cash flows, net present value, and overall financial performance.
• Research market conditions and industry trends to help establish appropriate lease terms, pricing, and asset positioning.
• Review and interpret commercial lease agreements, summarizing key financial terms and relevant provisions for management and other stakeholders.
• Monitor property-level financial and operational performance to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maximize asset profitability.
• Conduct periodic budget-to-actual variance analyses, including reviews of general ledger activity and operating statements.
• Develop financial presentations, forecasts, and cash flow projections to support management reporting and strategic planning.
• Prepare recurring asset management reports, lender reporting packages, financial correspondence, and summaries of lease and debt agreements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support portfolio performance, financial planning, and ongoing business initiatives.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant experience in commercial real estate, financial analysis, investment analysis, or a related discipline.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and analysis.
• Experience with Yardi or similar real estate management and accounting software.
