Atlantic Group is hiring a Financial Analyst in Montgomery County, PA for our client, supporting financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting within a financial services environment. This in-office role will analyze financial performance, perform variance analysis, develop financial models, and provide insights to support business planning and decision-making. The position also supports regulatory reporting, audit activities, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Responsibilities as the Financial Analyst:
- Financial Analysis: Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, and financial performance to identify trends and support business decisions.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support annual budgets, forecasts, scenario planning, and other financial planning activities.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and supporting analysis for management.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain models to evaluate business initiatives, financial scenarios, and investment opportunities.
- Performance Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators, perform variance analysis, and communicate findings to finance and business teams.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Assist with GAAP reporting, regulatory requirements, audit requests, and internal financial controls.
Qualifications for the Financial Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Experience:2+ years of financial analysis or accounting experience is required, with insurance, mortgage, or financial services experience strongly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge:Knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and financial services regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling is required, along with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and financial reporting tools.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to interpret financial data, develop actionable insights, and work effectively both independently and across teams.
