The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidations, Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems; public accounting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; MBA and CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience; public accounting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidations, financial analysis and corporate accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools; automation/AI in finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Support consolidated financial reporting and account reconciliations across entities.
• Perform financial and variance analysis; assist forecasting and ad hoc reporting.
• Improve reporting processes through ERP systems, BI tools, and automation.
• Support internal controls, policies, audits, and reporting compliance.
• Collaborate with finance and business teams to improve processes and efficiency.

Job Overview – Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Compensation: $95,000 – $120,000/year + bonus

Location: Montgomery County, PA

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant in Montgomery County, PA for our client, supporting financial reporting, consolidations, month-end close, and financial analysis within a corporate accounting environment. The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant will prepare and analyze financial statements, support consolidated reporting, perform account and variance analysis, and help improve accounting and reporting processes. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidations, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems, with public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities as the Senior Financial Reporting Accountant:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, management reporting, financial analysis, and supporting financial schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Consolidations: Support consolidated financial reporting, account reconciliations, and related accounting activities across multiple entities.
• Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis, variance analysis, forecasting support, and ad hoc reporting for leadership.
• Systems & Automation: Improve financial reporting, analytics, and accounting processes through ERP systems, business intelligence tools, and automation.
• Controls & Compliance: Support internal controls, accounting policies, audit requirements, and financial reporting compliance.
• Process Improvement: Partner with finance and business teams to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications for the Senior Financial Reporting Accountant:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required, with an MBA andCPApreferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience is required, with public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, consolidations, financial analysis, and corporate accounting is required.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Power BI, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools are required, with automation or AI-enabled finance technology experience preferred.
• Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, organizational, problem-solving, and process improvement skills are required.
