About The Role

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team! This remote position (for candidates in the EST time zone) will play a critical role in supporting Ryder's financial operations. You'll be responsible for financial planning and analysis, month-end closing, and identifying opportunities for cost/productivity improvements across our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Forecasting, business planning, and branch performance analysis
• Operational Initiatives: Collaborating with Logistics Managers to recommend cost and productivity improvements
• Month-End Closing: Journal entries, variance explanations, and ensuring accurate billing and revenue capture
• Customer Invoicing & General Ledger: Managing invoicing, revenue posting, and monthly aging reports
• Training: Providing financial training to operations staff on policies, procedures, and financial tools
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: Conducting operations audits for compliance with internal controls

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in finance/accounting (preferably in transportation/logistics)
• Strong understanding of income statements and balance sheets
• Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts), MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Access (optional)
• Ability to communicate complex financial data to all levels of management
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-motivated attitude

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $65,000 - $85,000/year, based on experience
• Bonus: Eligible for annual bonus based on performance
