Job description

DGR Systems is looking for a Financial Analyst with a specialized focus in the IT industry or Professional Services. You will provide financial leadership and guidance to project management, sales and leadership teams. You will work closely with leadership on financial forecasting, planning and cash flow management. This position requires an individual that is highly motivated, knowledgeable of best practices associated with finance, and has excellent analytical, reporting, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable
    • Prepare and send invoices to customers
    • Post customer check, ACH and credit card payments
    • Handle customer inquiries, billing issues and collections
  • Accounts Payable
    • Receive, validate and record vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors
    • Maintain vendor relationships, address inquires and resolve issues
  • Manage and process payroll to ensure accurate employee paychecks
  • Responsible for financial forecasting and planning and maintaining budgeting and forecasting processes and models
  • Preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets and other management reports to forecast financial outcomes
  • Maintaining confidential financial information
  • Interact daily with executive management, project team leaders, sales managers and financial professionals.
  • Planning, implementing, improving, monitoring and supporting financial business information across multiple departments
  • Accounting activities such as:
    • Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries
    • Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and general ledger accounts
    • Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
    • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
    • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
    • Coordinating activities of external auditors
    • Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
    • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
    • Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
    • Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
    • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
  • Assist with special projects as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent, is required
  • 5+ years proven experience in finance/accounting positions
  • Experience in the professional service or IT industry, preferred
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures, reporting and expense analysis, and journal posting is required
  • Excellent computer skills are required, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Experience implementing and/or using MS Dynamics and / or MS Business Central, preferred
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office Products, including collaborative applications such as MS Teams, SharePoint, and One Drive
  • Demonstrated analytical, reporting, communication, and presentation skills
  • Possess strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage several different projects at various stages with ease
  • High emotional intelligence to be able to work in stressful situations with top priority outcomes
  • Client service orientation
  • Ability to work effectively within a remote environment and with remote team members
