Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a finance professional to build and maintain compensation models, analyze profitability, and support month-end close processes.

You will generate monthly reporting on detailed sales history and expenses, and develop data tools to improve reporting efficiency and value across the business. Expect actionable insights to guide company initiatives and decisions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Maintain an outcome-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Calculate monthly commission payments through compensation models.
• Compile and distribute monthly reporting related to Detailed Sales History and Expense Reporting.
• Prepare profitability analyses across segments and verticals.
• Develop data tools and modeling to improve reporting efficiency and value.
• Provide timely, actionable analysis and recommendations to support company projects and initiatives.
• Assist in day-to-day functions, including identifying general ledger impacts and assisting in month-end closing procedures.

Job description

Calculate monthly commission payments through the development and maintenance of compensation models
Compile and distribute monthly reporting related to Detailed Sales History and Expense Reporting
Prepare and analyze profitability for various segments and verticals of the company
Develop data tools/modeling to improve and increase the efficiency and value of reporting
Provide timely, insightful, actionable, and accurate analysis and recommendations to support company projects and initiatives
Assist in day-to-day functions, including identifying general ledger impacts and assisting in month-end closing procedures
Perform other duties, as assigned
Work on projects related to profitability, P&L analysis, billing method reviews, sales and expense analysis, and other finance activities
Work independently with latitude in determining assignment objectives; work reviewed at major milestones and project completion

Requirements

• 2+ years in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
• Proficient Microsoft Suite Skills
