Job description

We are partnering with a large, publicly traded global company in Denver on a newly created Financial Analyst opportunity. This position will sit within the enterprise FP&A team and offer broad exposure across the organization, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a well-rounded FP&A skill set and grow within a sophisticated global finance organization.

This role will work closely with experienced finance leadership and support a variety of corporate FP&A initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, reporting, variance analysis, and strategic decision support. Because of the structure of the team, this individual will have the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple areas of the business rather than being limited to one specific function or business unit.

Responsibilities
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Prepare financial models and analyses to support business and strategic decisions
  • Analyze actual results against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers and explaining variances
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting and management presentations
  • Develop reporting and analysis around revenue, expenses, profitability, and other key business metrics
  • Partner with finance leaders and business stakeholders across multiple functions and business units
  • Support enterprise-level FP&A projects and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Help improve and automate existing financial models, reports, and planning processes
  • Assist with scenario analysis and evaluate financial impacts of business decisions
  • Gain rotational-style exposure across different areas of corporate FP&A as business needs evolve
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting
  • Ability to work with large datasets and translate financial information into meaningful business insights
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Exposure to ERP, planning, or business intelligence systems is a plus
Why This Opportunity?

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly established global organization while still having significant visibility and room for growth. The position was created to support the continued development of the enterprise FP&A function and provides exposure to experienced finance leadership, multiple areas of the business, and a wide variety of financial projects.

The company offers a strong mentorship environment and the opportunity to build skills across corporate FP&A rather than becoming overly specialized early in your career. For someone looking to develop toward Senior Financial Analyst and eventually finance leadership opportunities, there is significant long-term runway.
