Job description

The Financial Analyst plays a critical role within the D&Z Management Serv, Inc. Finance division, specifically partnering with M&C Business Services. This role is essential for driving financial planning and analysis activities that directly contribute to achieving our strategic goals and operational excellence. You will develop comprehensive budgets, accurate forecasts, and robust financial models that support proactive decision-making and effective resource allocation.

Beyond traditional financial analysis, you will leverage business intelligence tools to enhance data-driven insights and continuously improve reporting processes. Your analytical skills and ability to interpret both financial and operational data will enable you to provide actionable recommendations that optimize costs and increase profitability.

As part of a dynamic team, you will engage in cross-functional collaboration, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that foster innovation and efficiency. Your work will support not only monthly and quarterly cycles but also long-term strategic planning across M&C Business Services. As the Financial Analyst, here is the work you'll do:
  • Conduct detailed analysis of business performance indicators and key operational drivers, communicating insights that support business partners in making informed decisions.
  • Enhance financial forecasting methodologies through data validation, scenario modeling, and trend analysis to ensure accuracy and responsiveness to changing business conditions.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly closing activities, annual budgets, external audits, and quarterly forecasts with disciplined attention to compliance and accuracy.
  • Champion process improvements by identifying automation opportunities and adopting advanced business intelligence platforms, streamlining financial reporting and analysis workflows.
  • Lead or participate in targeted ad-hoc projects, driving cross-functional initiatives that improve financial visibility and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the M&C VP Finance and other stakeholders to align financial strategies with business goals and regulatory requirements.

  • In-depth understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles aligned with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government Cost Accounting Standards, and FAR provisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess complex situations, prioritize key financial issues, and interpret variances affecting business operations effectively.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with a consultative approach that fosters influence and builds trusted relationships across multiple disciplines and business units.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistent financial guidance aligned with contract terms and business objectives.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts or Sciences (BA/BS) is required to ensure a strong foundational knowledge relevant to the analysts' responsibilities.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in financial analysis or related fields is required to demonstrate practical application of analytical and financial principles.
  • Industry experience is preferred, providing valuable context to enhance the depth of financial insights and strategic recommendations

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $68,000 - $102,400. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
