Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Financial Analyst for a client in Camden, NJ (onsite, 1st shift). The role is a full-time contract with a 12-month contract-to-hire.

Responsibilities include managing Earned Value Management data, forecasting program performance, and maintaining SAP/Cobra-based budgets. The ideal candidate has strong experience in project management, EVMS, and cost analysis, with a bachelor's degree in a related field and potentially an MBA/CPA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business, accounting, finance or related analytical field.
  • Graduate degree and 4+ years of related experience or Bachelor's with 6+ years.
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with COBRA/SAP and Earned Value Management concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Earned Value Management data integrity for multiple programs using Cobra and SAP.
  • Forecasting of FPA metrics for program performance and variance analysis.
  • Create/Maintain/Update projects in SAP and ensure EAC accuracy.
  • Prepare IPMR deliverables and review variance reports with CAM input.
  • Mentor junior team members and support internal/external audits.

Position Overview

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Financial Analyst.


Position Type: Full-time contract, Contract to Hire Duration: 12 months. Location: Camden, NJ 08103 (Onsite/1st Shift).



Job Responsibilities

As a Financial Analyst, you will:



  • Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.

  • Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.

  • Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.

  • Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.

  • Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.

  • Responsible for all aspects of maintaining the Earned Value Management data integrity for multiple programs utilizing the Cobra and SAP toolsets including:

    • Forecasting of FPA type of metrics for program performance

    • Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Annual forecasting and variance analysis to financial plan including profitability and cash flow

    • Creating/ Maintaining/Updating of Projects in SAP

    • Ensuring EAC accuracy for all efforts under responsibility



  • Work is performed with minimal supervision, and the ideal candidate can mentor junior members of the team.

  • Creation of Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) deliverables (Formats 1-5, 7).

  • Creation and Review Variance reports with CAM input.

  • Creates and maintains program baseline budgets for performance measurement.

  • Prepares moderately complex proposal cost estimates and pricing data.

  • Provides support for internal and external audits for assigned programs.

  • Create Ad Hoc analysis as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.



Preferred Additional Skills


  • MBA or CPA preferred

  • Experience in a leadership development program

  • Experience managing the financials for a highly visible program

  • Knowledge of government contracts, funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis preferred.

  • Experience with contracts such as CPAF, CPFF, T&M, FFP, etc

  • Strong computer skills

  • Certifications such as PMP, EVMP or similar



Ideal Candidate will have


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related analytical field

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with COBRA/SAP

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.

  • Expertise in understanding and using Earned Value Management concepts and processes.

  • Experience with risk management, financial management, and work breakdown structures, change management, cost estimating, configuration management and system surveillance, operations, and procurement.

  • Familiarity with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations, ANSI-748-D, EVMIG, and NDIA Intent Guides.



This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.



Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: $90-$100/hr. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
