Job summary

Motion Industries, a leader in industrial solutions, is seeking an Analyst in Financial Planning & Analysis to build financial models, KPI dashboards, and analyze profitability. This role partners with executives to drive value through data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.

You will develop automated reports, participate in executive discussions, and support strategic initiatives. A bachelor's in finance or related field and up to two years of experience are typical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and participates in financial and operational discussions with business leaders.
• Acts as a business partner to drive profitability through analysis and reporting.
• Identifies and drives process improvements, including standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards.

Analyst, Financial Planning & AnalysisSUMMARY:The Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis supports Motion's Executive, Finance, and Operational Leadership by contributing to world class financial analyses and providing thought-provoking, value-adding insight into the group's financial performance. Assists with the identification of operational improvement opportunities and drives decision- making by collecting, managing, analyzing, and disseminating financial information and analyses.JOB DUTIESDesigns and implements financial models and key performance indicator reports to drive value in the business.Analyzes profit & loss statements, explains variances in performance, and monitors actions to ensure delivery of financial commitments.Performs trend and sensitivity analysis to evaluate key challenges and opportunities.Prepares and participates in financial and operational discussions with business leaders.Serves as a business partner with various leaders to drive additional profitability through analysis and reporting.Identifies and drives process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad- hoc reports, tools, and dashboards.Performs customer and product profitability analysis.Increases productivity by developing automated reporting and modeling tools.Assists in the creation of executive presentations.Leads and participates in ad hoc projects assigned by the manager.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCETypically requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics from an accredited institution and zero (0) to two (2) years of related experience in Finance, Accounting or Business Analysis/Planning.
