Qualifikationen

• Graduation from high school with college course work in business, accounting, social services or related field.
• Three years of increasingly responsible experience involving financial record-keeping and public contact in a social services related field, including at least two years of financial aid experience.
• Knowledge of federal/state/district financial aid procedures and packaging processes.

Aufgaben

• Review applications and documentation to determine need and eligibility for Federal, State, and District programs.
• Perform duties related to departmental computer systems and packaging parameters.
• Assist in the file packaging process for work-study, grants, scholarships and others as assigned.
• Prepare reports initiating funding levels and assist higher-level specialists.
• Counsel students and parents on budget, applications and eligibility; explain regulations and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of changes in eligibility requirements and procedures; attend workshops as needed.
• Communicate with District departments, agencies, colleges and the public; maintain records and files.
