Job summary

San José State University is seeking a Financial Aid Systems Analyst to research, develop, implement, maintain, and enhance business processes, systems, and technology supporting financial aid operations. The role acts as a functional troubleshooter for PeopleSoft modules and Query tools, and as a lead on the PeopleSoft Financials team.

Responsibilities include maintaining PeopleSoft financial aid processes, processing ISIR data, coordinating testing and upgrades, developing reports, and guiding

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience; advanced degree may substitute.
• Advanced degree in computer science, technology, business, or related field preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience supporting information systems and technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and configure PeopleSoft financial aid processes, queries, programs, reports, and annual system setup activities.
• Process and monitor ISIR, Cal ISIR, Middle Class Scholarship, and Cal Grant data with data accuracy.
• liaise between functional and technical staff; analyze system changes and translate business needs into specs.
• Develop reports for financial aid staff and campus departments; support audits and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate projects, lead technical implementations, train staff with user guides and process docs.
