Job summary

Auburn University’s Office of the Vice President of Enrollment Management is hiring a Financial Aid & Scholarships Systems Specialist. This role provides technical, operational, and analytical support for the systems used within Financial Aid and Scholarships to ensure accurate processing, data integrity, and effective system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• 5 years of experience supporting administrative systems, data analysis, reporting, or student services operations in a compliance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs processing activities within Financial Aid and Scholarships systems, including awarding, packaging logic, and student communications.
• Reviews and analyzes system data, reports, and processes to identify discrepancies, process gaps, and opportunities for automation and modernization.
• Develops, reviews, maintains, and validates SQL queries, data rules, ad hoc analyses, and dashboards to support operations and decision-making.
• Supports day-to-day system functionality by maintaining defined procedures, workflows, and processes for operational needs.
• Assists with issue resolution by gathering information, coordinating follow-ups, and tracking outcomes.
• Maintains Financial Aid and Scholarships website content and assists with forms for student access.
• Uses Excel and related tools to review data, including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
• Assists with system implementations, upgrades, and testing by executing test scenarios and communicating issues.
