Job summary

Mountain Gateway Community College seeks a Financial Aid Coordinator to join the Student Affairs team, helping students access financial resources to pursue and complete their education.

The role involves advising on options, navigating the aid process, resolving eligibility issues, and supporting students toward success. Supervises staff and collaborates with the Business Office and college personnel.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business administration, accounting, finance, education, student services, or related field.
• Experience in financial aid, higher education, student services, or related area.
• Knowledge of Federal Title IV programs and FERPA confidentiality.
• Supervisory experience and ability to lead staff.

Responsibilities

• Administer federal, state, institutional, and other financial aid programs in accordance with applicable regulations and college policies.
• Oversee processing steps including application review, verification, awarding, disbursement, eligibility monitoring, and compliance.
• Counsel students and families regarding eligibility, options, requirements, and responsibilities.
• Administer Federal Title IV programs including Pell Grants, FSEOG, Federal Work-Study, and Direct Loans.
• Coordinate with Business Office and college personnel to support access, enrollment, persistence, and completion.
