Job summary

Colorado Mountain College is seeking a Financial Aid Specialist I to guide students through the aid process and serve as a key contact for families. Under supervision, you’ll handle FAFSA steps, ISIR review basics, and communication across departments to promote enrollment and retention.

Responsibilities include outreach, FAFSA completion assistance, data entry, workshop delivery, and advisory support for work-study, VA funds, and packaging of awards.

Qualifications

• Explain FAFSA steps and student responsibilities clearly.
• Understand federal student aid processes (ISIR, Direct/PLUS, verification, work-study).
• Familiar with R2T4 and SAP appeals.
• Knowledge of Veterans benefits.
• Deliver workshops to students and families.

Responsibilities
