Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is seeking a Financial Aid Specialist to evaluate and verify aid applications, assist with awarding and reporting, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

The role includes file review, working with students and families, and presenting on financial aid at on- and off-campus events, with a hybrid/on-campus schedule and potential travel between campuses. This is a full-time, 1-year temporary Academic Staff appointment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Associate degree with 2 years of higher education experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and verifies financial aid applications.
• Triages financial aid processes and issues.
• Awards financial aid to qualifying students.
• Audits applications for compliance with federal/state regulations.
• May hire, train, and supervise student employees.
• Serves as a point of contact to third party stakeholders about financial aid information and processes.
