The financial aid department at CCD is here to support students navigating federal financial aid processes. We assist students with completing their requirements to receive a financial aid offer to provide relief with the cost of tuition and fees. Not only do we assist students in setting up their aid, but we are in the unique position to educate and empower students navigating the complex processes that come with receiving it. We have the opportunity to make positive impacts on the current student experience as well as aid in strategic long term financial decisions. Paying for college can be very stressful, so we're here to provide our expertise and understanding to collaborate with students to find a plan they're confident and comfortable with.
Our work-study students are a huge resource to our office. They provide support to our students and staff to be able to keep our office running at its highest potential. Primarily, this position supports most largely with customer service.
Be financial aid eligible, which includes having a complete FA file, meeting SAP and enrolled 6 hours+ towards degree.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn how to apply broad stoke rules to individual situations. Applicants will get the daily practice of explaining high-concept regulations to students and their support systems on the student's level. This requires strong communication skills and a creative teaching approach. It also provides a glimpse into how federal programs work and navigating the confines or their rules and regulations.
The position is open to students in any pathway. However, students pursuing a credential in education, public safety & legal services, or any of the social and behavior sciences may find this position particularly appealing.
