Job summary

Tech Army, LLC seeks an experienced Financial Aid Advisor to support students through the financial aid process, reviewing applications, determining eligibility, reconciling records, and guiding students.

Banner Experience is a MUST. Knowledge of NSLDS and COD is preferred, and you will coordinate with other departments to resolve processing issues.

Ideal candidates have an Associate Degree and at least 3 years in financial aid, with strong communication, collaboration, and student-service skills.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in financial aid or related field.
• Knowledge of higher education financial aid practices, policies, and procedures.
• Experience analyzing and reconciling financial aid data.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and specialized systems.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and student-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students regarding financial aid programs, eligibility, and applications.
• Review and process financial aid applications and supporting documents.
• Verify financial aid data and determine basic student eligibility.
• Certify grants, loans, and scholarship awards through income and budget analysis.
• Analyze financial aid records in NSLDS and COD systems.
• Assist with construction and reconciliation of financial aid files for reporting.
• Identify and reconcile discrepancies when automation is limited.
• Research and resolve problematic financial aid transactions.
• Coordinate with other departments to address processing issues.
• Maintain accurate financial aid data and documentation.
• Provide professional and effective service to students and employees.
