Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking a Financial Aid Administrator to guide students through the financial aid process, determine eligibility, and process aid to maintain positive cash flow.

You will report to the Director of Financial Aid and collaborate with other departments, handling verifications, disbursements, packaging VA benefits, loans, and compliance with federal regulations. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and 2+ years of FA experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of Financial Aid experience.
• Campus VUE experience preferred.
• Computer knowledge is recommended, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail with the capability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Processing Verification and Disbursements.
• Awards state and federal aid to eligible students according to regulations and policy.
• Counsels students and parents.
• Provides estimates and packaging information.
• Default Management and Financial Literacy programs.
• Auditing.
• Running reports to ensure work integrity.
• Interacting with other departments to assist students.
• Maintaining up to date information on new federal regulations.
• Assisting with Private Loans.
• Packaging VA benefits.
• Other duties as assigned.
