Job summary

The Business Solutions Consultant is an on-site role embedded within Northwestern Mutual network offices nationwide, dedicated to advancing financial advisors' sales effectiveness through technology solutions and customized consulting.

You will cultivate relationships with advisors and leadership, demonstrate benefits of the tech suite, support adoption, train users, and help plan improvements across the organization. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 2 years consulting experience in financial services or related field.
• Experience coaching and training professionals.
• Ability to explain sales-focused software technology and benefits.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to drive measurable improvements in outcome-based models.
• Proven ability to lead and facilitate groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with financial advisors, teams, and leadership.
• Assist advisors in using Northwestern Mutual tools to boost productivity.
• Understand sales cycles to align tech with business processes.
• Demonstrate technology benefits with clear, audience-focused communication.
• Collect advisor feedback and relay to Home Office leadership.
• Identify inefficiencies and suggest simple tech solutions.
• Participate in planning to support goal achievement and productivity.
• Help deliver training on technology best practices.
• Prepare users for new deployments with training and communication.
• Attend training sessions to expand knowledge and skills.
• Travel may be required based on supported offices.
