Job summary

Synovus is seeking a Financial Advisor Associate to support Financial Advisors with loan documentation, processing, deposits, and data accuracy. The role emphasizes risk mitigation and distinctive client service in a banking environment.

Strong regulatory knowledge and credentialing may be required. Key duties include preparing loan packages, closing loans, opening deposits, monitoring portfolio risk, and coordinating with Credit Analysts and other specialists to meet client needs with accuracy

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in financial services is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and broad knowledge of bank products and services.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state banking regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects, in person and by phone; respond to inquiries and resolve issues.
• Prepare, document, and process loan applications; close and disburse loans within 10 days.
• Assist advisors in establishing deposit relationships and monitoring portfolio risk.
• Ensure data accuracy (risk ratings, pricing, non-accruals) and compliance with policies.
• Refer clients to Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management as needed.
• Attend weekly meetings with Advisors and Credit Analysts to resolve tasks and follow up.
