Job summary

Synovus seeks a Financial Advisor Associate to support Financial Advisors in documenting and processing loans, and to establish and service deposit relationships. The role emphasizes accurate data handling to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with banking regulations.

The FAA will work closely with advisors to provide exceptional service, respond to client inquiries, and help grow both business and personal financial needs across the client base.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or related software.
• Broad knowledge of bank products and services.
• Knowledge of federal and state banking regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and mathematical reasoning with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects, in person and over the telephone.
• Assist Financial Advisors in documenting and processing loans and establishing deposit relationships.
• Ensure accuracy of data to mitigate risk and adhere to compliance requirements.
• Close and disburse loan proceeds and book loans within 10 days.
• Monitor portfolio risk including delinquencies, maturities, and overdrafts.
• Attend weekly meetings with Financial Advisors and Credit Analysts to address tasks.
• Refer clients to Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management, etc., as appropriate.
