Job summary

HilltopSecurities in Austin, TX is seeking a Financial Advisor responsible for creating, implementing, and reviewing financial plans aligned with client goals. You will develop business strategies to attract and acquire new clients.

You will partner with an existing advisory team, assist in client communications and development, and ensure service excellence while navigating securities products and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related major.
  • Minimum of two years retail brokerage or related experience.
  • NASD Series 7 and Series 65 or Series 66 licenses required.
  • Knowledge of securities products including mutual funds, variable and fixed insurance products, unit investment trusts, investment advisory programs and individual securities.
  • Solid understanding and track record in following applicable industry regulations and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of integrity.
  • Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and solve complex problems.
  • Competitive drive and achievement oriented.
  • Excellent verbal communication and sales presentation skills.

You will also be able to learn and deliver behavioral financial concepts to clients, forge relationships with community and business leaders, and learn from experienced financial professionals about how to fully support the individuals you serve. Our Clearing department supports more than 130 broker-dealers and Registered Investment Advisors who provide institutional and financial services through industry experts.
