Harnish Group Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting leader to manage financial reporting systems and lead a team of accountants. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a CPA or CMA, and 7-10 years of corporate accounting experience. Responsibilities include ensuring financial accuracy, leading the team, and collaborating across departments to meet organizational goals.

The role is in-office from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and comes with a competitive salary and benefits.

Duty Description

• Responsible for maintaining company’s financial reporting systems, general ledger systems, and associated business processes with focus in managing gross profits, inventory, fixed assets, payroll, and operation related accounts.
• Participate in close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information and submission of deliverables.
• Complete hands on account reconciliations, analytics, report preparation as assigned by controller.
• Lead general ledger accountants in operating and administering the accounting systems, processes, and controls of accounting processes.
• Monitor and review team’s work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of team’s work.
• Provide support, training, and mentorship to improve the team’s performance and lead the team to succeed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support meeting overall company’s and Accounting’s goals and objectives.
• Assist in development and implementation of new policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance workflow of the department to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in budgeting process and external reporting.
• Coordinate with and provide support to external auditors and consultants to ensure the financial results are accurately stated and properly reported.
• Other duties as assigned by CFO and Controller.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA required.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP standards along with technical accounting expertise including accrual accounting, journal entries, account reconciliation and financial statement analysis and preparation.
• 7-10 years in corporate accounting.
• 4+ years in team leadership experience.
• Experience in COGNOS, Power BI, and Microsoft Dynamics is a major plus.
• Advanced experience in Excel.
• Work schedule is in-office (non-remote) and work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
