Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• Three years’ experience in managing financial activities required.
• Two years’ supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting principles.
• Proficient in budgeting, reporting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end financial reports from payroll, AP, AR, and GL entries.
• Review monthly reports and investigate unusual items.
• Supervise staff accountant and oversee transportation program and purchasing/credit card program.
• Prepare annual budget and performance contract reports for outside funders.
• Manage accounts payable staff and vendor payments; oversee ACH transfers.
• Review internal controls and regulatory compliance for efficiency.
• Coordinate with external auditors and DBHDS reviewers.
• Support Budget & Finance Committee with packets and minutes.
