Job summary

Essity is seeking a Financial Accountant to maintain a complete and accurate general ledger, post journal entries, and reconcile accounts. The role supports monthly closes and provides timely financial information for senior management.

Qualifications

• Accounting Degree preferred.
• Previous accounting experience required.
• Detail oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with SAP or Power BI a plus.
• Travel up to 10% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Active role in the monthly financial closing cycle, reconciling balance sheet accounts, recording journal entries, and maintaining a complete and accurate general ledger.
• Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and accounting statements for senior management.
• Assist with internal and external business audits.
• Act as a speaking partner for Accounting services providing technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas.
• Oversee and approve special procedures in relation to the defined Accounting services.
• Provide input regarding needed changes, inefficiencies or other possible issues.
