Under the general direction of a Financial Accountant Ill or IV, the Financial Accountant II will act as a supervisor over staff performing technical and professional financial accounting activities, assist in planning, organizing, and directing the work activities of the staff responsible for the preparation of the Budgetary/Legal Basis Annual Report (BLBAR) and the State's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and various other statewide financial reports published by the State Controller's Office. The Financial Accountant II will utilize, including but not limited to the knowledge of governmental financial accounting, auditing, and financial reporting rules and regulations, generally accepted accounting principles, procedures prescribed by the State Controller and the Department of Finance, and supervisory policy, procedures, and responsibilities.
