Armstrong Utilities, Inc. is seeking a Financial Accountant for an onsite role in Butler, PA. The position focuses on accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting, requiring a detail-oriented, analytical thinker who collaborates well with others.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Accounting and 1–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with strong communication and technical skills to adapt to changing needs and support annual audits.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares journal entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Prepares accounting records and reviews transactions for accuracy, adequacy of supporting documentation, and compliance with company policy.
• Reviews weekly Accounts Payable batches to ensure proper account coding and adherence to company policy.
• Monitors, analyzes, and reconciles general ledger accounts.
• Actively supports the annual budgeting process and financial audit.
• Proactively identifies areas for potential improvement in the Finance & Accounting Department.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You’ll Do

Armstrong Utilities is seeking candidates for a Financial Accountant position in Butler, PA (onsite M-F). The Accountant will play a key role in the accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting for Armstrong Utilities and Armstrong Telecommunications. The selected individual will be a highly motivated, results-oriented professional who is an innovative thinker. The applicant must have strong analytical, problem resolution, and collaboration skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively.

• Prepares journal entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Prepares accounting records and reviews transactions for accuracy, adequacy of supporting documentation, and compliance with company policy
