Job summary

Ascendo Resources is seeking a Staff Accountant for a full-time, hybrid role in Midtown Manhattan. You’ll be the financial link between development teams, joint-venture partners and leadership, from groundbreaking to sale.

Responsibilities include monthly journal entries, reconciliations, construction loan draws, and cost tracking against budgets, with regular reporting to internal leaders and JV partners. CPA or progress toward CPA and 1+ year of experience are valued, as is strong Excel and

• Bachelor’s in Accounting (or related field).
• CPA, or in progress with at least one exam section passed.
• 1+ years of accounting experience. Public accounting is a big plus.
• Strong Excel and writing skills. Yardi is a bonus, not a must.

Our client is a well-established real estate developer with a national portfolio (office, residential, mixed-use and industrial). You’ll be the financial link between the development teams, joint-venture partners and leadership, from groundbreaking to sale.

What you’ll work on

• Monthly journal entries, bank and intercompany reconciliations, and financial statement prep
• Construction loan draws and funding requests for active development projects
• Tracking project costs against approved budgets
• Monthly reporting to internal leadership and outside JV partners

What you bring
