Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking an experienced Manager to join our Finance as a Service (FAAS) practice, supporting private equity-backed technology, life sciences, and high-growth companies. You will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and finance transformation across multiple engagements.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of accounting and finance experience, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, lead ERP implementations, and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or advisory experience.
• Experience in public accounting, outsourced accounting, consulting, or corporate accounting environments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, monthly close processes, financial reporting, and account reconciliation procedures.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements and leading teams.
• Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights for management and investors.
• Strong project management, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary client contact for PE-backed and growth-oriented companies across tech and life sciences sectors.
• Manage and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review account reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and schedules for quality and completeness.
• Lead finance and accounting outsourcing engagements, including oversight of offshore and domestic teams.
• Assist clients in designing and implementing scalable accounting processes that support growth and efficiency.
• Advise clients on finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations and process automation.
• Support PE portfolio companies through acquisitions, integrations, and post-close improvements.
• Coordinate with executives, investors, lenders, auditors, tax advisors, and transaction teams for seamless service.
• Identify risks and develop practical recommendations to mitigate them.
• Mentor staff and senior associates, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Support business development by strengthening client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
