Job summary

Piper Sandler & Co. is seeking a Head of Finance Transformation to join the CFO team in Minneapolis, MN or New York, NY.

This role will shape a modern finance function using AI, analytics, and redesigned operating models, partnering closely with the CFO. The candidate will lead organizational change, establish a multi-year transformation roadmap, and drive cross-functional initiatives spanning technology, processes, and people, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and senior stakeholder

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of progressive experience in finance
• 5+ years in senior leadership in finance
• Led large-scale finance transformation initiatives
• Experience redesigning finance operating models
• Experience partnering with C‑suite/CFO-level stakeholders and driving enterprise-wide change
• Direct experience with AI or intelligent automation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO to reimagine the finance operating model and lead organizational change
• Establish a multi-year roadmap for finance transformation aligned to strategic priorities
• Stand up and lead transformation management across technology, process, and people
• Define value realization metrics to measure transformation impact
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive transformation execution
• Develop training programs to build AI and analytics fluency across finance
• Deliver early wins while maintaining operational continuity
• Communicate transformation vision to staff and the Board
