Job summary

BRG is seeking an Associate Director – Finance Excellence to lead engagements in strategic performance solutions and transformation initiatives for finance organizations. You will work with CFOs, PE sponsors, and leadership teams to deliver structured analyses and actionable roadmaps that drive measurable improvements.

The role emphasizes leadership, advanced financial modeling, and collaboration across advisory teams, with opportunities to mentor associates and contribute to business

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, financial or operational due diligence, finance transformation, corporate finance, operational improvement, or related advisory roles
• Experience in both consulting and industry environments is a plus
• Exposure to PE-backed companies, private credit, or sponsor-driven environments strongly preferred
• Experience in distressed or restructuring contexts is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of engagements across finance transformation, operational improvement, transaction readiness, and value creation
• Serve as primary day-to-day client contact for CFOs, executive leadership teams, PE sponsors, and lender stakeholders
• Translate complex business challenges into structured analyses and actionable workplans
• Develop board-ready presentations, financial models, transformation roadmaps, and performance reporting models
• Identify opportunities through data-driven analysis and strategic problem solving
• Implement process improvements across finance, accounting, and operations to drive efficiency and performance
• Mentor junior team members and ensure high-quality execution
• Support practice development including recruiting, training, business development, and thought leadership initiatives
