Job summary

United Airlines is seeking a Senior Manager of Application Development to lead the Corporate Finance Systems portfolio. You will drive finance transformation and ERP modernization, shape multi-year roadmaps, and ensure scalable, reliable platform operations.

You will partner with Finance, IT, and vendors to translate priorities into executable plans and measurable outcomes. You will manage production support for finance apps, govern ERP and reporting platforms, and communicate status, risks, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Finance, or related field.
7+ years in application development, ERP modernization, or finance tech delivery.
3+ years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams or vendors.
Experience delivering finance transformation, including process modernization and data readiness.
Proven experience leading full lifecycle ERP implementations such as Oracle Fusion, Oracle EBS, Workday, or SAP.
Experience across delivery and support for enterprise finance apps; exposure to EPM, planning, reporting, and data integration helpful.
Ability to work with senior finance stakeholders and tech leaders to define priorities and drive outcomes.
Experience managing delivery, production support, release planning, and continuous improvement.
Strong understanding of ERP-enabled finance transformation and core finance processes.
Knowledge of ERP/EPM configuration, data quality, security, testing, and production support.
Strong leadership to set direction, develop talent, and manage vendor delivery teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication.

Responsibilities

Lead finance transformation and ERP modernization initiatives across scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
Ensure stable production support, issue resolution, release readiness, and continuous service improvement for finance apps.
Provide clear status, risk, and decision updates to senior IT and business leadership.
Govern ERP, EPM, reporting, reconciliation, close, data, and integration platforms.
Guide solution design, data readiness, security, testing, and handoffs with architects and vendors.
Build trusted relationships with finance, vendors, and technology partners; translate complex topics for executives.
Drive alignment across stakeholders with competing priorities through problem solving.
Manage priorities, resources, budgets, forecasts, and vendor commitments across workstreams.
Ensure delivery standards in Agile, QA, security, and architecture; drive continuous improvement.
Lead and develop high-performing teams and hold vendors accountable.
