Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Finance Project Management & Financial Systems Analyst Intern for Summer 2027 in Malta, NY (and Austin, TX). This paid internship supportsFinance Transformation by coordinating project plans, documenting requirements, and driving process improvements across finance operations.

Qualifications

• Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Analytics, MIS, PM, Data Analytics, CS, Engineering or related field.
• Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Support Finance transformation projects with project planning, tracking, documentation, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
• Conduct analysis to identify process improvements across Finance operations and business processes.
• Assist in documenting business requirements, scope definitions, process maps, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Support current-state and future-state process assessments and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, controls, and user experience.
• Assist with financial systems enhancement initiatives, including requirements gathering, testing, validation, and user adoption activities.
• Support automation, reporting, analytics, and digital transformation efforts through data analysis and process documentation.
• Participate in system testing, issue tracking, and validation of configuration or process changes.
• Help develop dashboards, reports, and business insights that support process performance monitoring and decision-making.
• Research emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and automation solutions that can improve Finance processes and operations.
